2) MERCURY DETOX - ONGOING
STEP TWO - SUPPORT YOUR BODY'S OWN DETOX PATHWAYS
The ongoing process of detoxification is critical to your health returning. Its one thing to have the amalgams
removed, and that is essential, but the removal of the stored mercury is the key.
Basically, one needs to address the biochemistry of Liver Phase I and Phase II detoxification. For a full explaination of this
see My Detox Page .
As mentioned before - this should be started at least two weeks before removals start, so the mechanisms are supported when needed.
As you remove mercury from your mouth..your cells will start to "off-load" mercury in response to the body's natural homeostatsis or balancing.
The major items to have in place are antioxidants (Network Synergy) for Phase I and glutathione (GSH Complex) in Phase II. These are assisted in doing their
job by the minerals selenium (SeMC), zinc (Zinc citrate)magnesium (Cardo-Mag) and a balance of general minerals, supplied by Citramins II.
Some people like to continue liver support throughout this phase and I generally suggest T.A.P.S, a very good support from Thorne Research.
For those determined to take Alpha-Lipoic Acid, I highly recommend R+-Lipoic Acid which the most effective and safest form.

The supplements in 2) Mercury Detoxification - Ongoing can be taken up to two weeks before amalgam removal begins.
I seriously recommend to start with 1) Drainage for about 1 month before starting removals
Then a couple of weeks before removal start the basic Detoxification Protocol and maintain this for at least two months after removal
I seriously advise AGAINST and pharmacological chelators (DMSA, DMPS, even Alpha-Lipoic Acid) before 6-8 weeks after the last amalgam has come out.
The reason for this is your body will dump a lot of mercury during this time..and I have found that is when people experience the greatest NEGATIVE effects of
the chelators. Better to go with natural support of your body's own mechanisms at the beginning and pull in the "heavy guns" once you are more cellularly
stable.
