THE "4" HERB FORMULA
The “4” Herb Formula is considered a cleansing and strengthening tonic that supports the body in resisting cancer. Both Burdock root and Rhubarb have a long history of use as folk remedies and are listed in many compendia of herbal medicines. Both these plants are valued for their properties as laxatives and promoters of wound healing, as well as being folk remedies for cancer..based on the famous "Essiac" by Rene Caisse.
They contain relatively high concentrations of flavones, anthraquinones, tannins, and certain polysaccharides, which have been variously reported to have anti-oxidant, immuno-modulatory, anti-mutagenic (cancer preventive) and cytostatic (anti-cancer) effects. Interestingly, a number of conventional chemotherapeutic agents (e.g. adriamycin) are anthraquinone derivatives.

A NOTE ON TINCTURES
