Hope you enjoy the new style! Adults' Health Zone: Due to constant questions re heart health, I've recently put up three new cardiac pages. People seem to be interested in the statistics on heart attacks, the testing they are usually required to do and more natural solutions to optimizing their heart and cardiovascular's (heart and blood system) state of well being. Liver WHAT DOES A YEAST INFECTION LOOK LIKE?Although most people when they hear the words yeast infection...readily associate it with vaginal infections...and the miserable itching, burning and discharges that go with it, these nuisance infections can erupt in other areas of the body as well. What appears to be a "rash" is often yeast. These appear under the breasts, in the groin, in the mouth, webs of hands and feet, in the armpit and on the penis. HOME TREATMENT FOR YEAST INFECTIONAlthough many of the symptoms of the above yeast infections are on the surface..itching, burning, painful, etc...the REAL treatment must come from within. Yeast problems begin with an overgrowth of pathological yeast in the digestive tract. The actual cause of its ability to grow rampant, I believe starts with an imbalance in our normal flora or bacterial cultures ("the good guys"), enzyme deficiency,and immune inadequacy. You can effectively manage this as a home treatment for yeast by following this plan: FNGL Formula...to kill the yeast in the digestive tract..1 per meal Probiotics Plus (No FOS)..2 on rising and 3 at bedtime Digestive Enzymes..M7+..1-2 per meal Oreganum Plus...3 drops 2X per day in a little juice..this is spicy tasting..so mix it in a small amount of liquid and drink it quickly.
DID YOU KNOW???..... 'Smells Like Rotten Eggs...." Few if any of us has actually smelled a rotten egg. Why?..Unless there is a crack in the shell, eggs can be left out on a desk for months and when opened, still smell fine. Although the contents would have shrunk, they would not be "rotten". The lowly egg, you see, has protective coatings on the outside (cuticle) and two on the inside chamber. The albumen (protein) of the egg white also possesses antibacterial factors such as particular enzymes (lysosomes) which kill off bacterial attack. When the egg is broken open..then its "smorgasbord" time for the bacteria. Although the albumen is about 88% water and 11% protein..over half of the protein is ovalbumin which has over 3,000 molecules and only 6 molecules of sulphur. But, man what a job that little sulphur can do when it converts to the gas hydrogen sulphide! Its a gas that is as toxic as hydrogen cyanide..the gas used in execution chambers..but because it smells SO bad...no one hangs around long enough to be poisoned by it! There is no formation of hydrogen sulphide without fermentation by bacteria. So, as long as the egg is not opened..no gas! I love Mike Adams' site...here is one of his recent postings which I feel is of critical importance to all parents: Number of overweight babies up 74 percent as obesity skyrockets in expectant mothers A new study by researchers at Harvard Medical School shows that over a 22-year period, the number of overweight babies born to U.S. mothers has increased by nearly 74 percent. "Even our youngest children are gaining excess weight, not just adults and adolescents," says Dr. Matthew Gillman, the study's lead author and associate professor of ambulatory care and prevention at Harvard. Gillman says his study suggests that "obesity prevention efforts need to start at the earliest stages of human development." The researchers believe a number of factors contribute to the increase in fat babies, including the fact that more American women are entering pregnancy overweight and then developing gestational diabetes, and more babies are being overfed in the first few months after birth, which leads to rapid weight gain.... Read More This is becoming a HUGE concern. Recent stats have reported that in the US (and I'm sure Canada is not far behind)..67% of the population are obese!! DID YOU KNOW????.... Ice cream story....if you put a cup of ice cream in the fridge overnight....would you have a cup of slop in the morning?? Nope! Only 1/2 cup! Where did the rest go?? Planetary Concerns Bird Flu and Home PreparationsAs the flu season approaches, preparing for untold scenarios becomes of prime importance..world-wide. Since the 2003 H5N1 outbreaks, experts have been saying that if the disease becomes easily transmitted between humans, a devastating pandemic will kill millions, but Michael Osterholm, director of the Center for Infectious Disease Research and Policy at the University of Minnesota, said it is not a matter of if a flu pandemic is coming, but when. "The worst thing we can do is not prepare and think it will not happen," Osterholm said, but added, "The truth of the matter is, there's a lot we can do about it." Osterholm -- who is a consultant for the U.S. departments of Homeland Security and Human Services and has been on "The Oprah Winfrey Show" and CNN's "Nightline" to talk about flu pandemics -- addressed an audience at a town hall meeting in Illinois and said that history shows that a new pandemic strikes the world at least every 50 years. The last such pandemic was the Hong Kong flu -- H3N2 -- which took approximately 700,000 lives worldwide, about 40,000 of which were in the United States alone. The H5N1 strain of bird flu, which has already killed 141 people worldwide without mutating to a human-to-human strain, is likely to be the next devastating pandemic to sweep the globe, experts say. When it does, Osterholm said it is likely to kill at least 2.7 million people -- maybe as many as 360 million -- and people will probably have to take care of themselves as the devastation completely overpowers state and federal emergency management plans. So what home preparations can one make? I sincerely do NOT believe the flu vaccine is of any use..whatsoever. In fact because of it containing mercury and formaldehyde, I can only see it harming one's health. For our patients we are following this plan: Homeopathic Flu Prevention Programme: 1 vial of Thymuline on the first of each month...and 1 vial of Influenzinum for 5 weeks (until all the vials are gone) and that's it for that one. Beta Gold - 500 mg. 1 or 2 per day...I personally take two as I'm exposed to so many "buggy" people. Probiotics Plus (no FOS)..to keep the normal gut flora up..this is your first line of defense.
